Michelle Boggon

Hi, I’m Michelle.

A happy, welcoming, down to earth yoga teacher!

I am very much a real life yoga person, who enjoys practising yoga, teaching yoga, making yoga accessible and enjoyable for everyone and every body.

I am a British Wheel of Yoga teacher and I have been teaching for eight years.  I first stepped onto a yoga mat over 15 years ago, and I have not looked back since!  Yoga is very much a part of my everyday life, helping me to stay calm and balanced through life’s ups and downs, and to deal with any stress or anxiety.

Initially, my practice was to become more flexible and help with my fitness levels.  However, following a diagnosis with Lupus, I found that yoga gave me the nurturing strength and support to recover and connect with my body and mind. Yoga helped with the healing process and taught me to ‘listen to my body’ and to slow down!

Over the last few years my yoga practice supported me to deal with a period of grief and the practice of Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra, became a valuable part of my grieving process.  My understanding of ‘tuning into my body and mind’ became more apparent, allowing myself to heal, and connect to renewed internal energy and resilience.

My life experience (so far!) has given me the opportunity to learn and grow in my own yoga practice and teaching, become more self-aware and to know how to look after myself.

I endeavour to be able to share and translate this into my teaching, which is focused on helping my students.  It gives me a great sense of gratitude, knowing that my students experience the many benefits of yoga, and find my classes supportive in their well-being.
