Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Vinyasa, a Sanskrit word meaning “to place with awareness,” refers to the practice of linking breath with movement. While there is no fixed sequence of postures in a Vinyasa Flow class, most sessions include variations of Sun Salutations as a foundation.

Each week centres around a specific theme—this might involve focusing on a particular area of the body, building up to a “peak pose,” or exploring a more mindful, introspective approach. Some weeks offer a slower, alignment-based class, allowing you to explore each posture in greater depth. Other weeks are more dynamic, emphasising movement and fluid sequencing. Regardless of the pace, the breath remains the central focus—serving as the anchor that guides and connects each movement.

Working consciously with the breath helps to create balance in the body and mind by activating the parasympathetic nervous system—often referred to as the “rest and restore” mode.

Caroline often incorporates elements from her additional training in Restorative Yoga and Meditation into her classes. One session per block is dedicated entirely to a Yin or Restorative practice, offering a deeply nourishing and grounding experience.
